Description
The GIMELEC is the professional organization that brings together and represents the French electrodigital industry. It federates 210 companies, accounting for 90% of the sector, employing 67,000 people, and generating €15 billion in economic activity in France. Its members design and deploy electrification, automation, and digitalization technologies that are transforming industry, buildings, mobility, and energy and digital infrastructures.
As a key player in the energy and digital transitions, GIMELEC works toward sustainable electrification, an innovative industry, high-performance buildings, and responsible digital infrastructures. It addresses major challenges such as decarbonization, interoperability, flexibility, electromobility, hydrogen, and the circular economy.
Its missions rely on three core pillars: advocacy (standardization, policy positions, institutional relations), knowledge and insight (economic analysis, regulatory monitoring, studies, webinars), and collective action (member support, network animation, sector-wide initiatives).
To support this mission, GIMELEC operates through a robust internal structure comprising 63 professional divisions, 7 thematic clubs, 4 market committees, and 15 technical commissions, enabling the production of expertise, strategic vision, and coordinated action across the entire industry.
