Directeur académique de l'Executive Master in Digital Twins for INfrastructures and CIties

Description

Mathieu Arquier is a civil engineer, a graduate of École Polytechnique and École des Ponts ParisTech (ENPC). He began his career at Setec Tpi, an engineering consulting firm, working on various types of infrastructure projects (complex bridges and buildings), always combining a high level of technical expertise with scientific aspects. He also worked on the development of structural analysis software, particularly focusing on dynamic effects and nonlinearities. In 2014, he co-founded Strains, a startup dedicated to innovation in structural analysis. There, he continues to pursue his interest in highly technical assignments on concrete civil engineering projects and in the research and development of mechanical simulations in partnership with the Navier Laboratory at ENPC, notably through the supervision of three CIFRE PhD theses. Mathieu Arquier teaches structural dynamics at ENPC and contributes to the course on finite element analysis. In 2023, he was appointed academic director of the Executive Master in Digital Twins for Infrastructures and Cities in partnership with ENPC, UPM (Madrid) and BME (Budapest). He also received the 2021 AFGC award from the French Association of Civil Engineering.
